A new show car confirms the replacement for the Nissan Murano SUV
The next generation Nissan Murano will be previewed by this concept, called Resonance, at the Detroit motor show, and Nissan is promising a design that will be as surprising as the original car’s.
This image from Nissan hints at a low-roofed SUV with a very pronounced shoulder line and wrap around rear lights. The Resonance will be fitted with a petrol electric hybrid powertrain.
The production Murano won’t go on sale until 2014, although we’re likely to see the final vehicle later this year. Nissan is moving production of the Murano from Japan to its Canton plant in Mississippi in the face of increasing costs in Japan and a stubbornly high yen.
