Lamborghini is celebrating its 50th anniversary with a four-day grand tour of more than 350 of its cars through Italy.

The supercar convoy is almost three miles in length and comprises Lamborghinis that produce a combined 190,000bhp; the models range from classics including three examples of the first car to come from Sant' Agata, the 350 GT, numerous Miuras, Esapadas, Countachs, and one LM002.

From more modern times are Diablos, Murciélagos, Aventadors, and the best represented car at the tour, the Gallardo, Lamborghini's most successful model in its 50-year history.

The route, which is being driven by people from 29 different countries, leaves Milan on Wednesday morning before heading down Italy's west coast to Rome, then back up to Bologna before arriving at Lamborghini's Sant' Agata headquarters on Saturday.

Britain is the best-represented nation at the event, supplying 71 owners' cars. A 22-year-old from Kuwait is the youngest driver, a 75-year-old from France the oldest.
