Malcolm Campbell's Bluebird V to return to the UK, with other land speed record breakers, for the 20th anniversary of the Festival of Speed
Sir Malcolm Campbell’s Bluebird V, which broke the land speed record in 1935, is headed back to the UK after its last visit in 2004.
The Bluebird, which departed on Friday 7 June, is set to arrive in England on 29 June. It will be displayed at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, as part of the event's 20th anniversary celebrations, from the 12-14 July.

The Bluebird, which reached 276.82mph at Daytona Beach, USA, will be joined by Donald Campbell’s Bluebird CN7. It will be the first time the two record breakers have been together since the 1960s.
Joining the Bluebirds will be Sir Malcolm Campbell’s 350bhp Sunbeam V12 LSR racer, from the National Motor Museum in Beaulieu, and Henry Seagrave’s 1927 LSR Sunbeam 1000bhp Tiger. The Tiger is currently kept in Utah, USA.
The Bluebird V is currently based at the Daytona International Speedway. The Speedway’s president, Joie Chitwood III, called the iconic vehicle’s creator “one of the greatest land speed record holders in history".
He added: "We are honoured to have it represent the 'World Centre of Racing' at the 2013 Goodwood Festival of Speed”.
