
The Seat Leon FR TDI 184PS is available to order. The hottest diesel in the Leon range develops 182bhp and 184lb ft from 1750rpm, making 67.3mpg possible on the combined cycle. Seat claims 0-62mph in 7.5sec – 0.7sec less than the 148bhp version of the FR TDI. It features multilink rear suspension, opposed to the rear torsion beam of the 148bhp FR TDI. It is priced at £22,075 for the three-door SC and £22,375 for the five-door.
Wolfgang Stadler is to join Jaguar from BMW as director of manufacturing. He will be responsible for JLR’s global manufacturing operations and will report to CEO Ralf Speth. Stadler previously held senior roles at BMW’s Dingolfing plant and BMW South Africa. Stadler replaces Paul Cope.
Renault has confirmed pricing for its Scenic, Scenic XMOD and Grand Scenic models. The Scenic XMOD costs from £17955 in Expression 1.6 VVT 110 spec. The Scenic, available only in Dynamique TomTom trim, is priced from £19155 and is priced identically to the XMOD model for model. The Grand Scenic attracts a £1200 premium over the five-seat Scenic.
