
Special design packs, extra colour choices and an improved infotainment system are among a host of changes to the Land Rover Discovery for 2013. New packs include Black Design, which adds gloss black 20in alloys and grille. The engine range continues unchanged.
Nissan is preparing to give the GT-R a series of changes for the 2013 model year. The annual changes are expected to be the smallest yet, but will include subtle tweaks to the front-end styling and a small power boost, thanks to a tweaked ECU.
A sporty R-Line trim has been reintroduced to the VW Tiguan range. Based on SE-spec Tiguans, R-Line is available with the car’s three most powerful engines. Extra kit includes 18in alloys, new bumpers, a rear spoiler and sports seats.
Mazda boss Takashi Yamanouchi will meet with Fiat Group boss Sergio Marchionne to discuss extending their co-operation beyond the current MX-5/Alfa Spider project. “There’s nothing to announce yet, and nothing that’s certain to happen, but our engineers have been in each other’s plants looking for opportunities,” said Yamanouchi.
The Salon Prive Luxury Supercar Show and Concours d’Elegance will return in 2013. It will take place at London’s Syon Park from 4-6 September. Tickets for the show are already on sale.
The Seat Toledo range will cost from £12,495 for the entry-level 74bhp 1.2 TSI E model. This means it will undercut its sister car, the Skoda Rapid, by £305. Other engines in the Toledo range include the 1.2 TSI with 104bhp and a 104bhp 1.6 TDI as the sole diesel choice. S, SE and Ecomotive models are also in the line-up, which is topped by the £16,350 1.6 TDI SE.
